This project was probably one of my favorites. I really enjoy web adventure and all the quirks they have. When Corrina first told us what the project was, I immediately thought of Clue. As a kid, I always played Clue with my family, and It was one of my favorites games to play. I knew that actually playing a game of clue would not translate right into a web adventure, because the only person playing is the viewer and I think having the other players be bots was out of the scope of my computer skills. So I based the adventure off of the movie Clue that came out in 1985. I used the same characters and scenes from the movie but made them fit into my story. I also incorporated another one of my interests into the ending, which is Batman the “mastermind” behind the events of the night. I do wish I made more endings and had more branches and choices but when making the adventure on wix, the more pages I added, the slower my computer and wix worked and my laptop was heating up, I did not think it was worth my laptop crashing and burning (actually and metaphorically). I did really enjoy making the story and mapping everything out. I did have some trouble with the gifs, but as I made them and got more comfortable with photoshop's timeline, the easier they got. It was fun working in the essence of the game and movie into a web adventure, like when the characters confront Plum and Scarlet says “It was plum, in the dining room, with the gun” like you would say when playing the board game.
